❝ If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his own language, that goes to his heart. ❞
Our Rehabilitation Support Workers speak many languages that include French, Portuguese, Arabic, Assyrian and Chaldean.
Many of Stride Rehabs’ clients live in rural areas/small towns. Rural areas have a charm about them that cities simply can’t compete with. This does come with the challenge of having a smaller population base when compared to a city. For this reason it is an ongoing struggle to find RSW’s (Rehabilitation Support Workers) in rural areas and smaller towns. Being in a city affords people the opportunity of having more resources available.
One of the primary reasons to locate an RSW that is local to a client’s home is an effort to reduce the travel cost associated. We are not saying that an RSW in a rural area can’t be found. What we are saying is the option of having a choice between many RSW’s is far less when compared to one who is living in a city.
Stride Rehab’s solution to this ongoing resource issue is to bill 30 minutes maximum (one way) to any client who lives up to 1.5 hrs away. This allows us to reach deep into the communities we serve. We strongly feel that clients who require an RSW should have the option of having the best fit, similar to those who live in a city. This is a precedence setting solution!
Anything over 1.5 hours of travel time and Stride rehab bills half the travel time. For a client who lives two hours away, Stride rehab will only bill one hour, greatly reducing the cost without compromising quality and option for the best fit. Keep in mind there is a high likelihood that we have another client en route therefore reducing travel time to the 30 minute range. Stride rehab absorbs the cost difference.
Strides’ approach to keeping rehab costs down for all clients, have given many in rural areas the benefit of having our dedicated team provide service to them, without the added travel expense.
