ABOUT ME

Osaretin Solomon is a graduate of Dominion College, where she earned a Diploma in the Developmental Services Worker program and of triOS College of Business, Technology and Healthcare, where she also earned a Community Service Worker Diploma. She has completed Advanced Brain Injury Rehabilitation – Level 2, A Lifespan Approach to Brain Injury: Supporting Clients at Every Stage, through Brock University in partnership with the Ontario Brain Injury Association (OBIA)

 

Prior to joining the Stride team Osaretin worked with organizations such as Community Living London and Karis Disability Services (Christian Horizons), where she played a key role in developing and implementing Individual Support Plans (ISPs). Osaretin has supported individuals living with multiple conditions, including Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, and Autism, while promoting independence and inclusion within the community. She is certified in Trauma-Informed Care (TVIC), Human Trafficking Awareness, and Naloxone Administration. Osaretin is committed to inclusive and culturally sensitive care.

She moved from Nigeria to Canada in 2015. She decided to go to school in an area of practice where she can serve individuals with special needs. She achieved her goal and began to support individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges while employing crisis intervention strategies in a group home setting. Her focus remains in supporting people as she continues in her career.

 

Osaretin is fluent in Edo (native Nigerian) and Italian. She also has experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems enabling her to build strong, respectful connections with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds.

In the community, Osaretin is a children’s leader through her Church as well as a youth leader through Youth Unlimited. providing mentorship and fostering community engagement among youth.

 

Osaretin is engaged and a devoted mother of three. She prioritizes time with her family and enjoys going for walks, watching movies, and staying active in her community. In her spare time, she also enjoys dressmaking and clothing alterations.
